Last week I collaborated with Nora Nadjarian at the European Poetry Festival – directed by SJ Fowler, who pioneers the Camarade model that I love: pairs of poets who have often not worked together before create a new performance with no criteria other than a time limit. The European Poetry Festival, run by SJ Fowler, was amazing again this year, and for celebration of Flemish poetry I had the opportunity to collaborate with the wonderful Lotte Dodion. Our performance was a set of haikus we wrote for the event and including work by Marta Chociłowska, Dama Sono-jo, Mahmoud Darwish, Mayazumi Madoka, Hashimoto Takako, Sugita Hisajo, and Suszuki Masajo.
